Meet the Team!
Dr. Lauren Gealow is originally from northern Iowa and grew up riding horses, attending music lessons, and competing in athletics. She received her DVM from Iowa State in 2014, and practiced in a mixed animal practice in western Iowa prior to moving to the Lincoln area to focus on small animal medicine. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but is very experienced and enjoys surgery, anesthesia, and pain control. Outside of the clinic Dr. Gealow shares her home with two crazy labs, Josephine (2) and Dixie (7), and enjoys horseback riding, hiking, or attending country concerts and athletic events.
Dr. Mimi Harvey graduated from ISU with her doctorate in veterinary medicine, too. She is also a Lincoln native and big Husker fan! She joined us in the spring of 2016, and we couldn't be happier! She enjoys the company of her husband, young son, and family of furry friends, too. Dr. Harvey is here on Thursdays.
Drs. Lance & Abby Roasa both grew up on farming and ranching operations, but in different states - Abby in central Nebraska and Lance in central Texas. They met while in veterinary school at Texas A&M. Abby is an intership-trained veterinarian, and is certified in veterinary acupuncture and chiropractic medicine. Abby will provide general practice, and advanced pain management techniques using acupuncture and chiropractic medicine. Lance will provide specialty surgery and advanced dentistry services for Woodland. They have two young boys Ian (6) and Sterling (3) as well as dogs Milo (terrier mix), Maeve (standard poodle), cat Simon, and three mares Kat (QH), Gwen (Hanoverian) and Fortuna (Dutch Warm blood).
Dr. Micah Kohles is as local as you can get, having grown up in Holland and attending Norris High School. He received his B.S. from UNL, Masters from UNO, and DVM from Kansas State. In addition to practicing at Woodland, Dr. Kohles also works at Oxbow Animal Health and is an internationally-recognized expert in small mammal and exotic veterinary medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible with his wife, Ashley, and their two boys, Tegan, age 13, Kai, age 7 and brand new baby girl Taiya.
